1.SBI Magnum contra
2.ICICI Fusion Fund Series II
3.HSBC offshore Freemdom Fund -Indian Equity

IInd quesion
pls suggest some large cap funds which are different from the above fund and which invest in different shares and companies than above mutual funds..

I cannot say about the other two but SBI magnum contra fund is a good fund provided you are in the (G) growth category.

I’m currently 31 yrs old. I want to retire at 60 yrs old and be able to have one million dollars saved up in a long term Mutual Fund by then. I live in New York City. Considering inflation, what’s a good formula to use to determine how much rate of return is needed from a Mutual Fund so that I would be able to save that much by the time I’m 60? I will be putting in $ 10,000 and additional $ 500/monthly.

I think you need to talk to someone who knows stocks. Mutual funds would not be my way to go. A 401k, or a 403b through work along with IRA’s . A Roth Ira is a sure bet. But don’t take it from me. Go to a reputable firm like Fidelity and discuss it with them. There is no charge for a consultation.

Never. Mutual funds are bad news. When you buy them, you do not own any assets. You own a piece of a company that buys and sells assets. The best thing to do is own actual stocks.

i dont now about 2000-03 but i have 2 mutual funds,
they are schwab 1000 and vanguard both are good i dont no about 30 percent but ive been getting 16 percent the past 5 years
