Mid Atlantic Trust Company Announces New Reduced Pricing for ModelxChange
Mid Atlantic Trust Company Announces New Reduced Pricing for ModelxChange
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) October 12, 2011
Mid Atlantic Trust Company (MATC) is pleased to announce new pricing for its ModelxChange platform. The new lower pricing is due to the increased number of 401(k) accounts being placed on ModelxChange. Priced at a flat fee of 3.5 basis points, the new ModelxChangeSM pricing is a dramatic reduction from the previous pricing of 15 basis points. This all in price includes unlimited trading, portfolio rebalancing and fund or ETF swaps. ModelxChangeSM, launched by MATC in December of 2010, is the first of its kind in model management for 401(k) plans.
ModelxChange allows 401(k) professionals to seamlessly incorporate mutual fund and/or ETF investment models into a retirement plan — all through a single, web-based interface that allows for the creation, execution and on-going management of investment models for a 401(k) plan. Through its easy-to-use interface, managers can set-up and manage their investment models on ModelxChange and then deliver those models and the investment changes to each individual plan. It is an ideal solution for those Professional Money Managers, Investment Advisors, and Plan Record Keepers who want to stay on the forefront of the 401(k) marketplace and who are interested in maintaining a larger share of the generated revenues.
While discussing the new pricing model for ModelxChange, Tim Friday, Group CEO of Mid Atlantic Capital Group and President of MATC remarked, “The pricing model we’ve rolled out is a direct reflection of the response we’ve seen from the qualified plan marketplace for this offering.” Mr. Friday continued, “The adoption rate we’ve received from our existing and new clients has been tremendous, and because of the increase in volumes, our costs for ModelxChange have declined. So, we are thrilled to be able to pass along those savings directly to our customers. And, at a flat fee of 3.5 bps, advisors and managers can now predict the costs of model management much easier, and at a much lower cost to plan participants.”
For Professional Money Managers, ModelxChange uniquely provides a single system for the creation, execution and on-going management of investment models for the 401(k) marketplace. Through its easy-to-use interface, managers can set-up and manage their investment models on ModelxChange and then deliver those models and the investment changes to each individual 401(k) plan as adjustments are made to the model. Money Managers can also set security and cash targets, as well as specific investment exclusions requested by the plan fiduciary. All of the plan flows, asset levels, and detailed information related to the plan are right at the money manager’s fingertips through the easy to navigate website. Additionally, the management fee can be accrued daily and automatically paid monthly or quarterly.
ModelxChange also delivers numerous benefits to the 401(k) Plan Investment Advisor, including access to a stable of third party money managers with proven track records that are able to provide models comprised of ETF’s and/or mutual funds. Investment advisors have access to “best of breed” money managers, and Mid Atlantic has simplified the due diligence screening process for them by providing manager profiles, descriptions, performance data and other details of each model — reducing the amount time required to review the myriad of data in order to make an effective choice for a client. Plus, with the seamless integration that ModelxChange provides for the management of the individual investment models, Plan Investment Advisors can be assured that their client’s plan is always in-sync with the Model Manager’s recommendation. Whether a 401(k) advisor wants to use a professionally managed model, or manage their own models, ModelxChange can finally bridge the operational and cost gap that historically prevented the use of models in a retirement plan.
ModelxChange also eliminates the tedious process of coordinating all of the moving parts required for Plan Record Keepers to effectively manage an investment model within a retirement plan. ModelxChange streamlines this process by seamlessly coordinating all those moving parts required to synchronize a retirement plan with the investment model.
ModelxChange is an outgrowth of its predecessor ETFxChange that also has reduced its price. For those still using ETFxChange where ETFs are a stand alone investment vehicle in a 401(k) plan, Mid Atlantic Trust will be extending a new price schedule starting in October of 2011.

Mutual Funds? Investment?
Question by Haya Pine: Mutual Funds? Investment?
-I know this really depends on an individual, but typically for how long should one leave their money in a mutual fund? Can you withdraw at any time and get your profit? Is there any short-term mutual fund?
-And how can you check the profits you have made so far? Obviously, stocks are listed everywhere on the web, but what about mutual funds? How do you keep in track?
-If possible, what are the safest funds? Index? And, yes still on my research….
Thanks, for all of the help!

How long should one invest- That all depends on your goals. Mutual funds are normally long term. A lot of mutual funds also place fees on the funds if you sell it too often or if you dont have it in there for a certain time frame. They do this to protect the fund. Everytime you buy or sell, the mutual fund manager has to make sure that the fund can cover that. If everyone started trading it short term, then the mutual fund would be buying and selling too much and that would rise the costs of the fund. ETFs are better short term options and they trade just like a stock, so you can tell what price you can buy/sell at instead of waiting till 4pm and having no idea what price you will get.
Onec again, it all depends on what you are trying to do. Timing the market is very difficult to do and most lose at that game.
You can check for profits online just like a stock, just type in the symbol. Remember mutual funds only trade once a day at 4, so you cant tell what price you would buy/sell.
Index funds are known to have less risk, because they normally have more stocks/bonds than active funds. They also mirror the index, where active funds try to beat out their index, and by doing that they will trade more and that can add the possibility of being wrong and taking loses. But remember the type of investments will also determine the risk level. For example a small cap index fund will still have more risk than a mega cap active fund. Once again you want to look at goals/age/risk tolerance to determine your breakdown on what you should be investing in.

Are there any mutual funds that focus their investment strategy on call and put options?
Question by ss: Are there any mutual funds that focus their investment strategy on call and put options?
Are there any lower risk ways to invest in options contracts? Any managed investment vehicle that I could use? Thank you.

Answer by zman492
<<
I am fairly sure that any fund that focused their strategy on options would be considered a hedge fund instead of a mutual fund.
<<
There are dozens of different options strategies, many of which are less risky than simple stock investments. If you take the time to learn about option spreads and how to manage them you can have low risk options positions. Just remember that lower risk also means there is less of a change of large profits.
<<
I do not know of any that I would recommend.

Short Term Investment Mutual Funds?
Question by dvdclarke: Short Term Investment Mutual Funds?
In addition to money market funds are there any other short term investment mutual funds available?
Best answer:
Answer by edgetrader
dvd:
Mutual funds have never been considered a
vehicle for short-term investing. There are
fee costs that must be made up before a
profit can be made, and mutual funds pretty
much mirror the overall markets.
Right now, mutual funds are down dramatically.

Question by phan: is growth and dividend-re-investment plan in mutual funds are one and the same ?
what is difference between Mutual fund growth plan and Mutual fund divident – re-investment plan, if both are same why mutual funds are giving two options for their investors… can anyone tell this…, in a easy , illustravtive manner as i a newbie to Mutual funds..

Answer by Govind W
Well Growth and dividend represents 2 attributes of the scheme
Growth: where the NAV is going to be the Bottom line for your return on investments like if u have invested in 10 Rs NAV Fund and after a time period it becoms 12.25 then your surender value will be 12.25* No. of units.
Divident: In this scheme you are booking part of your profit by the mean of divident hence your investment value reduces everytime you get dividend
Divident Reinvestment: Through this scheme you can book your profit for some amount and again invest at lower rates in the same scheme
like if @ NAV 12.55 Mutual fun company announce divident 10% over face value of the fund ( RS 10) u will get Rs. 1 dividend and u can reinvest that in the same fund but the beauty is u can get the same fund @ 11.55 or al the lower rate since the NAV drops after the Divident is paid.
So The basic difference is in Growth the NAV rate increases ( with market conditions) and in Divident reinvestmet your Units also increases with NAV ( but the NAV rate increase of growth is more than divident )

What is the best investment? savings bonds, mutual funds, CDs?
Question by Mr. X: What is the best investment? savings bonds, mutual funds, CDs?
I have money to invest, not too much ($ 10, 000 +) but more than I ever thought I would have. What is the best investment?
I was thinking savings bonds, mutual funds, CDs or just interest. which is best and where? Chase, Citibank, Bank of America, ING DIRECT orange savings, credit unions or what?
I have some friends who are rich and they say its a bad time to invest in the market (“hide it all under the mattress”) but they’re also stockpiling non- perishables and ammunition.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
PS I’m in California.
