Uzurp Registered Investment Advisor Database Tops 105,000 Contacts
Uzurp Registered Investment Advisor Database Tops 105,000 Contacts
Wilmington, DE (PRWEB) October 18, 2011
Uzurp.com announces that they have now topped 105,000 contacts in their Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) database. Since the database’s launch, a year ago, it has steadily grown, keeping up with the rapidly changing industry.
“Those looking for a comprehensive RIA database will find all the information they need in ours,” explains Christopher Joyce, CEO of Joyce Co., the business development company that started Uzurp (http://www.Uzurp.com). “Over the past year, Uzurp.com’s products have proven to be a cost-effective tool for gathering information about Registered Investment Advisors and Broker Dealers. With over 105,000 contacts in it, you will find all the information you need.”
Several industry events lead to an increase in the contact information in the database. These include the industry’s rapid change, with many companies adopting an independent RIA model, from a Broker Dealer type of model. The Dodd-Frank legislation also played a role, prompting many firms to switch their registration from federal SEC oversight to state oversight, among other issues.
Since going live last year, Uzurp.com has implemented user upgrades to enhance the experience and simplified the process of locating Registered Investment Advisors and Broker Dealers. Those upgrades include an easier-to-use interface, more detailed data on the Broker Dealers and Registered Investment Advisors, continuous record updates and additions, and extensive search capabilities.
The Uzurp.com databases can be accessed through any web browser and provides the user with access to in-depth information about Registered Investment Advisors and Broker Dealers. Throughout the past year, the database has been helpful to a wide range of businesses ranging from software, compliance, and recruiting, to public relations, securities attorneys, mutual funds and hedge funds .
Uzurp.com has three main products, the Broker Dealer database (BD Database) the Registered Investment Advisor database (RIA database) and the Registered Rep database (Financial Advisor database). The Registered Investment Advisor database includes updated and in-depth information on more than 35,000 RIA firms. The Broker Dealer database features detailed information about more than 4,500 Broker Dealers across the country. The Registered Rep Financial Advisor database includes financial advisors for all major and independent broker dealers. Databases are accessible from only $ 999 per year making it a more affordable way for businesses to provide their team with access to this valuable information.
The benefits of using the new Registered Investment Advisor or Broker Dealer database is that searches can now be filtered by over 140 different specific criteria, such as geographic location, amount of assets under management, type of organization, type of compensation, advisory activities, and more. Users also gain access to information for contacting key officers, owners, and decision-makers directly. Both the Registered Investment Advisor and Broker Dealer databases are designed to be user-friendly, allow mobile downloads, and provide unlimited “cloud” usage. There is also free technical support and a discount for multiple users.
“Over the past year, a lot of companies have turned to Uzurp.com to obtain Broker Dealer and Registered Investment Advisor information,” adds Joyce. “That’s because when you compare Uzurp to others, people can see ours is affordable, comprehensive, and a much greater value. With over 105,000 contacts, we know Uzurp is the most comprehensive and the best value.”
“Those who need to obtain Broker Dealer and Registered Investment Advisor information just can’t beat the information we have to offer,” adds Joyce. “Uzurp.com offers a wealth of information. Considering the affordable rate for using the database, the return on investment can’t be beat.”

Stock Market Cycles Control Investment Strategy
Stock Market Cycles Control Investment Strategy
Newport News, VA (PRWEB) October 19, 2011
John M. Shelby, analyst of stock market statistics, is now providing a defensive strategy that dictates the cycles of the stock market. Before a recession begins investors are able to exit the market when it is at a 1 year low and enter after a recession when the market is at its 1 year average. These are the only two phases the occur when the market corrects itself because there can only be one low point and one average point over any time period.
In a interview with Lee Smith, “a stock market cycle is when the S&P 500 Index goes to a 1 year low, it will continue to go down until it stops. Once it moves up and crosses its 1 year average, the stock market as a whole continues going up until the next 1 year low. The chart of this Index tells you when to enter and exit mutual funds.” This is considered a great investment strategy.
The leading indicator for stock market collapses by professional Mutual Fund Managers and Wall Street Advisors is the S&P 500 Index. According to Morningstar Inc. money managers do not beat the Index on a long term basis causing it to be used as the bench mark for the overall market.
The index consist of 500 of the biggest companies in the world. Their stock prices rise and fall depending on their earnings which is a reflection of the economy. The companies in mutual funds are the same in the S&P 500 Index.
Mutual funds in a IRA or 401k have seen a huge decline in their value in 2008. The last time the stock market dropped this far was in 2001 and 2002. Financial Planners state, “avoiding stock market collapses is the number one priority for retirement. If there is no defensive strategy that protects against losses then expect a substantial decrease in account value.”

How can I invest in a mutual fund or ETF and have my funds held in a foreign currency?
Question by Lee: How can I invest in a mutual fund or ETF and have my funds held in a foreign currency?
I want to find a mutual fund or ETF that invests solely in stocks/bonds in Europe, Australia and Asia. That is easy enough and I have found many funds that do this. The problem is I want my funds held in foreign currencies as well – not the US dollar.

Most of your funds will be held in the foreign currency, because the fund will have to do a conversion before making an investment. Uninvested cash might be held in USD, but that’s only a minimal amount of cash.

Long short mutual Fund Basics
The long short mutual fund is simply a mutual fund that uses hedge fund trading strategies. The difference of long short mutual funds versus the average mutual fund is that they use short positions in addition to leverage and derivatives to try to maximize returns no matter what the market conditions are. There are laws that control how many short positions and derivatives may be used in a long short mutual fund, so there are controls governing how successful these funds can be. The majority of investments in a long short mutual fund are in stocks so there are certainly risks out there. Why Invest in a Long short mutual Fund? Many investors are unaware of the long short mutual fund and don’t know why it would be beneficial. Basically, a long short mutual fund is the method created by the mutual fund industry to offer the average investor hedge fund advantages. The advantage the long short mutual fund has over a traditional hedge fund is that the fees are generally lower and there is no lock in period that applies. On the other hand, the fees associated with the long short mutual fund will be higher than the majority of mutual funds and liquidity is also lower. The long short mutual fund is different from mutual funds as well on the minimum investment front. In most cases investors will need to invest a minimum of ,000 or more. Not every long short mutual fund has this much of an investment requirement, but many do. On the other hand, the short fund can’t include as many short positions, derivatives, and leverage as the hedge funds are allowed to. Nevertheless, investors will find the long short mutual fund diversifies their portfolio when the market is down. Of course, today’s investors are wary of putting all their eggs in one basket, so to speak, and diversification truly is necessary to reduce the chances of losing everything in a volatile market. Luckily, investors taking advantage of the benefits of the long short mutual fund will be able, in principle, to make money when the market is both up and down. Keep in mind the long short mutual fund is a recent innovation. However, many investors and fund managers are hopeful that this type of investment will play out the way everyone hopes it will. Time is the only way to find out whether the long short mutual fund is worthy of its newfound popularity.
Long Short Mutual Funds as part of a balanced investment portfolio can help reduce risk and increase alpha.

Answer by Common Sense
Good for you. Mutual Funds from Insurance companies & banks are always way too expensive and are usually mediocre at best.
You can call your local office… or call State Farm corporate….. they’ll tell you what you need to do. Assuming you’re the owner of the fund…. you’ll get a check in the mail.

Nick Barisheff Bullion Management Group on Lang and O’Leary Exchange Silver update
Nick Barisheff, President and CEO of Bullion Management Group on Lang and Oleary Exchange discusses Silver markets with Amanda Lang. Note to Canadian viewers (Americans have differing conditions) BMG is a precious metals mutual fund, they hold physical gold silver platinum. on a mutual fund your commitment is 00 to start and 0 per additional instalment. I am in no way associated with the company, One of the more advantageous things to note is that you can put this towards your RRSP which could gain you tax benefits. Do your own due diligence of course. I prefer to collect physical silver myself, but it may be the right fit for you, so I thought I’d give you the short and sweet description. This video is a production of CBC I hold no claim to it, just spreading news about the current silver markets for informational purposes

Will a mutual fund keep the dividends earned from stock holdings if the fund feels they are not growing?
Question by J: Will a mutual fund keep the dividends earned from stock holdings if the fund feels they are not growing?
I have read that some mutual stock funds do not pay out the dividends they earn because they do not feel like they are financially stable enough to do so. Is this true? And should it not really matter to the shareholders because the mutual fund is focusing on growth which will eventually be a benefit?
